About this site

NetDetectHub is a set of free network tools that explain what they find. It's run by one independent developer in the EU who also builds a few other free tool sites. No name and no photo, on purpose: every answer here comes from public data you can check yourself.

Why it exists

The big IP and DNS sites work, but many bury the answer under VPN offers, upsells and walls of raw output. This site tries to do three things better: answer in plain English first, show the raw data under it for people who want it, and keep nothing about what you look up.

Where the answers come from

  • Your connection: the data Cloudflare attaches to every request, and ipify for the second address family.
  • DNS: public resolvers (Cloudflare, Google, Quad9 and others) over encrypted DNS-over-HTTPS.
  • Domains and IP blocks: the official registries, through IANA's RDAP directory.
  • Certificates: the public Certificate Transparency logs (crt.sh).
  • Websites: a live request from Cloudflare's network at the moment you ask.

The details, and the limits of each method, are in How our tools work.

How the tools and pages are made

  • The checks follow the published standards (the RFCs for DNS, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, RDAP and HTTP), which each page links to with the date it was last checked.
  • The tools and first-draft texts are built with AI help. The parsing and grading code is covered by automated tests against real-format test data, and every page is reviewed against its sources.
  • If a result or a sentence looks wrong, say so and it gets checked and fixed.

How the site pays for itself

The tools are free and stay free. The site may show a small number of ads, clearly labeled "Advertisement" and never inside a tool or its result. There are no VPN or "protect yourself now" pop-ups, and no affiliate links in the results.

What this site will never do

  • Keep a log of what you check, or sell it.
  • Scan or probe addresses that aren't yours (the port checker only tests your own connection).
  • Scare you into buying something with fake warnings.

Results come from public DNS, registry and certificate data and from checks run from Cloudflare's network at the moment you ask. They can differ from what another network sees. How our tools work · Terms of use.
